Reply:I think he's wrong and not really a teacher, seeing that he is the only one who has a word for algener among the others who answered Report Abuse
Reply:not arabic, i'm a native speaker
Reply:dude ... it's not Arabic.
Reply:either its not Arabic or you wrote it wrong,no such name in Arabic,Arabic names always have a meaning or a root
Reply:I know arabic but this is the first time I hear this word. I'm assuming that it means genie but you're going to have to write it more clearly. If it's a name then Arabic names do not always have meanings.
Reply:it's not an Arabic word, even it would not be a an Arabic family name.
(AL) in Arabic has 2 meanings:
1- the first one mean (THE), then (AL) in Arabic = (THE) in English.
2- the second meaning goes as an introduction to the families names like (AL-KAPONI) or (AL-SHARIF), an Arabic family.
as for ALJAZEERA its mean in English (THE ISLAND) (AL=THE %26amp; JAZEERA = ISLAND).
