Could anyone tell me please whats the suitable arabic english name for a baby boy?
how about rachid (rasheed cant spell it properly)? cause it can be turned into Richard for english use (i suppose u can see it is also my name hehe)
Reply:Italian:: Dominic or Sergio (LOVE those names!!!)

I know lots of Arabic names cuz I use to live in Saudi Arabia for 12 years

Ahmad, Abdullah, Aymen, Aamer or Amer,

Amir (means Prince)

Mohannad (yes, thats suppose to be N's.. its an alternative to Mohammad)

Khalid NOT pronounced Cal-lid.. there's no letters in English that make the sound Kh as it is in Arabic.. You'd have to hear someone who speaks Arabic to know how to pronounce it..

Mahmood, Bilal, Omar, Ibrahim, Idriss, Abdoon, Farhan (means Happy), Salim, Haleem, Hakeem, Jamal, Nasir, Rashid, Walid (Wa-leed), Maher, Asad, Ayser, Binder, Fareeq, Farooq, Tariq, Hadi, Ramy, Hani, Hassan, Halaal, Imad, Kareem....

Those are just a few that come to mind.... There are lots of different spellings for most of these names, so look them up, choose one that you like!

Good luck %26amp; Congrats on your baby boy! :)
Reply:Sufjan (pronounced Soof-yahn)

"Sufjan is an Arabic name that predates Islam and most famously belonged to Abu Sufyan, a figure from early Islamic history."

I'm not sure of the meaning because every website says something different, but it is the name of one of my favorite musicians :)

I don't know how it would sound in Italian though.
Reply:it's not my cuppa tea but i am pregnant and i have an Asian friend that i gave her the privilege of naming it's middle name if it was a boy, she chose Noah. It is arabic and english, apparently. Lucky for me i'm having a girl so i dont have to say i don't like it lol. But you might?
Reply:I'm not sure which of these are considered modern, but here are some ideas:

Aziz

Coman

Emir

Habib

Imam

Jaleel

Kamal

Leeron

Malik

Nadir

Rashid

Sabir

Salah

Tamir

Good luck :)
